What is Journalism? and Who is a journalist?
The word Journalism is taken from the word "journal". Journalism is the Collection and editing of rough information and then presenting the facts and description of events without an attempt at interpretation.
In simple words, Journalism is the Art of Giving Awareness to the People. This act of providing Awareness about something is also known As News.
Some People Say that The Word News is the Plural of the Word "New"
on the other hand, some People believe that the Word "News" is the short term "North West East South"
Anyway whatever it means, it doesn't affect its Purpose...
As everyone knows, It is the Nature of Human Beings that, they want to be informed & aware of the Events & News that are Happening around them. To fulfill this requirement of the Human beings' nature the Department of News Media was established. Since it was established It is acknowledging the People almost everything.
Now if we talk about journalists then it is easy to understand that the person who is related to the field or profession of journalism, is known as Journalist. In Other words, the Journalist is the person who collects rough information from place to place, edits it, and then presents it in a good manner in front of People through the source of media.
The journalist has a great responsibility on its head. it is the profession of honesty and veracity, but Unfortunately, Some Journalists forget to remain sincere with their profession and start giving preference to money over their profession. which is one of their blunders.
